ODD FORGIVING

do you plant
do you have a plant
do you love your plant
do you know your plant is in love with you
perhaps the only revolution left is treelike
let your roots take wing
outside where everything is written
page after page
breaking waves
ocean has stage hands
they wave and prop up horizons
with a full honey moon going down
sunburnt and hung over
she’s seen better days in this overlooked sky
where broken winds storm the stage
and blow mould clouds into squads of volcanoes
it’s an odd forgiving
wild composure
through all of this something lifts
dare i see we’re carrying the same mystery
we are sharing the same mystery
